My power is out. What do I do?

Modified on Mon, 9 Dec at 1:18 PM

Power outages, though often temporary, are disruptive, particularly in extreme weather. You might find yourself asking, “Who do I call?” or “When will my power return?”

Outages can stem from issues with the energy grid, such as bad weather or increased demand.

Report power outages immediately to your UTILITY COMPANY to help them locate and resolve the issue quickly! ENGIE cannot assist with power outages.

How do I locate my utility company's contact information?

1. Your local utility company and their contact information is located on the 3rd page of your invoice, on the the left-hand side.

2. Although all utility companies have a customer service line, most utilities also have a website to determine and report outages.

Here’s a list of TEXAS utility websites for reporting outages and signing up for alerts.

What if my utility company confirms there is no outage?

If your utility company confirms no power outage, other factors may be causing your power loss.

1. Have you received a disconnect notice due to non-payment, or are you currently experiencing any delays in settling your bill?

If yes, your services might be disconnected for non-payment. Chat with an agent or call us at 866-693-6443 to determine if this is the case.

2. Check your main electric panel to see if a breaker tripped.
