Yes - ENGIE offers Summary Billing.
What is Summary Billing?
This process allows for the consolidation of usage and charges for multiple premises into a single invoice, while maintaining the existing bill cycle and meter read dates for each account. (ENGIE will make every effort to combine and hold billing until readings are received for approximately 80% or more of the accounts. Please note that usage and billing delays may occur; however, estimated usage will be sent to prevent delays for all accounts.)
What bill types are eligible for Summary Billing?
- Consolidated - Yes: ENGIE sends you an invoice with our charges and the utility charges.
- Dual/Separate - Yes: ENGIE sends you an invoice with our charges only (the utility sends you an invoice for their charges separately).
- Utility Consolidated Billing - No: If your utility sends you an invoice with both their charges and our charges, we do not not offer Summary Billing.
Does the Customer Have to be Under a Contract to Qualify for Summary Billing?
Yes. We cannot set up Summary Billing on accounts that are out of contract.
Does it cost extra to have Summary Billing?
Yes, there is a premium to have Summary Billing. The premium is a collateral for ENGIE because we are holding the bill to have all the invoices sent at one time.
What is the cost for Summary Billing?
If you are on a fixed-rate product, we add the following rate to your fixed rate.
If you are on an Easy Flex or Index product, we add the following rate to your fixed Retail Adder.
- Texas Accounts: $0.0001
- Non-Texas Accounts: $0.00025
Example:
Your account is in Texas, and your fixed rate is $0.0800, then your new fixed rate, with the Summary Billing premium, would be amended to $0.0801.
Your account is not in Texas, and your fixed rate is $0.0800, then your new fixed rate, with the Summary Billing premium, would be amended to $0.08025.
